The pot, as we see it, is still 90% empty. The good thing in this domain of technology is that the capacity is not all in one pot but in several pots that can be filled one after the other. The best speculators cannot speculatre on the number of empty pts. Amgen has filled seven or eight of them, until now and is in the middle of filling another one. If old enough, you must then certainly know the saying " eye sight has limits. Insight doesn't. As complex as it is the anatomy of the eye, that of insight is several fold more complex. Trying to understand the components of the eye won't hurt. Trying to do the same with insight one would lose it. MLNM, our instinct tells us, has a long, long way to go. It will prove that it is, indeed, the Jewel of the drug discovery ulta-modern process and will fill several pots like the one that some people think it is full.

AVN / expect ''meteoric bull market ...''From: JimmyZ Date: August 13, 2001 Time: 06:11 AM
CommentsAVN / expect ''meteoric bull market ...''
Amex stocks poised for explosive summer rally
"..Avanir Pharmaceuticals (AVN) is a prime example of what happens when the lines of supply that have
suppressed a stock’s price are finally overcome (viz., its trendlines get broken). After a one-year
downward trend, AVN moved higher last week in explosive fashion, which we believe is a harbinger of
what many other stocks across the board will experience later this spring. You can expect a pullback
(or at least a consolidative rest) in AVN sometime in the next few days. However, AVN must be
considered a technical buy candidate and not just a one-hit wonder. If AVN overcomes $9 ultimate
resistance, expect a meteoric bull market this summer in this stock. "

also remember...
AVN institutional ownership has practically quadrupled in a short period of time. The big boys seem content in gradually accumulating the shares from retail shareholders who continue to hold on tight. One can only imagine how successful AVN will be if institutional ownership continues to grow as large as it's nearest competitor MEDX with 60%. With still only 3.2%, it seems AVN has rocketship potential considering that they feel their Xenerex technology is better than MEDX and they have the first OTC FDA approved herpes cream being marketed successfully as "Abreva" through Glaxo SmithKline.
AVN Could Be the New Mab Leader
Interesting news in the biotech world has arrived. Eos has signed the first partnership with AVN's Xenerex which will
compete with MEDX, ABGX and PDLI in making fully human monoclonal antibodies. What's even more interesting is that
Eos' chairman of the board is Nicholas Pritzker and a major investor in Eos is the Pritker Family's BCC bank. The Pritzkers are the multibillionairs of Hyatt Hotel fame who were instumental is the growth of MEDX. The Pritzkers
through BCC were one of MEDX's largest investors. Immediately after the deal with AVN, Eos announced that they were
retuning $5M to MEDX which was in the terms of an already existing deal. One has to assume that the terms of the contract
being changed were in connection with the AVN/Xenerex deal. Why would the Pritzkers lean towards AVN/Xenerex now?
Perhaps this has something to do with it...
"Using immuno-deficient mice, rather than transgenic mice, Xenerex can produce completely human
antibodies faster and cheaper than its
competition, big market players like Abgenix Inc., Medarex Inc. and Cambridge Antibody
Technology plc, Hansen said. "
